Short Story Illustrations for György Kovári’s Works

Short story illustrations of the ups and downs of a life that began with the second world war and lived through the rough era of communism.

Among the dark scenery of the 20th century we see colourful little figures moving written with sympathy and compassion. Student life during the ’56 revolution in Hungary, working in construction, genius and funny figures at the patent office.

As for the illustrations, I found ink paintings very suitable for this era – ink is black&white with some air of poetry. Still I see them somehow colourful.

The book was published by I.A.T Kiadó and can be found in the shops of Líra and Libri as well.
